PS

Oh and the Diases decided to stay. Very incredible story really. He was on the plane and the engine died, which is what he prayed for to happen if he wasn't supposed to go. Wow.. talk about being intercepted!

Sometimes good things happen that you don't pray for.

Sometimes good things happen than you do pray for.

Sometimes bad things happen that you prayed against.

Sometimes bad things happen that you didn't even think to pray against.

I don't know. Personally, I've always had trouble with making specific requests. I can never tell if they're answered, and I always figure God must have his priorities straight anyway...

Someone said that intercession is the single most selfless thing we can do. Completely taking our focus off ourselves and crying out to God for someone else. Of course it's impossible to know what effect we have with our prayers.. but prayer is a powerful thing, not much understood, but valuable beyond what we know. And I agree God does have his priorities straight.
